Seekingtex R&D Center Develops Next-Generation Cooling Fabric Technology
Our research team has developed a new cooling fabric technology that provides 30% better thermal regulation than conventional cooling textiles.
Seekingtex is proud to announce a breakthrough in cooling fabric technology developed at our Kunshan R&D Center. The new fabric, designated ST-Cool-2.0, achieves 30% better thermal regulation through an innovative fiber cross-section design that enhances moisture vapor transmission while maintaining UPF 50+ sun protection.
“Our R&D team has been working on this technology for over 18 months,” said Dr. Zhang, Head of R&D at Seekingtex. “The result is a fabric that keeps the wearer significantly cooler during high-intensity activities without compromising on sun protection or durability.”
The new cooling fabric utilizes a modified cross-section fiber that creates micro-channels for enhanced capillary action, drawing sweat away from the skin more efficiently. Initial trials with sportswear brands have shown excellent results, with wearers reporting sustained comfort during extended outdoor activity.
The ST-Cool-2.0 fabric is expected to enter commercial production in Q3 2026, with sample rolls available for brand partners starting August 2026.
