Testing Procedures

Rigorous Testing at Every Stage

UPF Rating Testing

Fabric samples are tested using spectrophotometry per UV Standard 801 and AS/NZS 4399 to determine the UPF rating. Each batch is verified to meet UPF 50+ standards for effective sun protection.

UPF Rating Testing

Water Repellency & Hydrostatic Head Testing

Fabrics undergo spray rating tests (ISO 4920) and hydrostatic pressure tests (ISO 811) to measure water resistance. Results are classified from water-resistant to waterproof at specified pressure ratings.

Water Repellency & Hydrostatic Head Testing

Moisture Management / Drying Rate Testing

AATCC 195 and similar protocols measure vertical wicking, absorption rate, and drying time to validate quick-dry performance. Fabrics must demonstrate rapid moisture transport and evaporation.

Moisture Management / Drying Rate Testing

Abrasion Resistance Testing

Fabric samples are subjected to controlled abrasion cycles using the Martindale method (ISO 12947) to measure resistance to wear. Results ensure durability for the intended end-use application.

Abrasion Resistance Testing

Tensile & Tear Strength Testing

ASTM D5034 and ISO 13937 methods measure warp and weft tensile strength and tear propagation resistance. Every batch must meet minimum strength specifications before release.

Tensile & Tear Strength Testing

Antibacterial Activity Testing

AATCC 100 and ISO 20743 test methods quantify bacterial reduction rates against Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Our antibacterial fabrics achieve 99%+ reduction rates.

Antibacterial Activity Testing

Colorfastness Testing

ISO 105 series tests evaluate colorfastness to light, washing, perspiration, rubbing and water. Each batch is verified for color consistency and retention under specified conditions.

Colorfastness Testing

Dimensional Stability Testing

Fabrics are laundered and dried per AATCC 135 to measure shrinkage and distortion. Dimensional stability is verified to ensure garments maintain shape after repeated washing.

Dimensional Stability Testing

Our Commitment

Through these rigorous testing procedures, Seekingtex provides customers with the assurance that our functional fabrics are not only high-performing but also built to last — ensuring consistent quality across every roll. Our quality lab operates independently from production and reports directly to management.
